Design It Yourself Gift Baskets was born in 2002 after a long night, a big conversation about family gifting… and a bottle (or two) of wine.
Somewhere between refilling glasses and swapping stories about the “almost perfect” gifts we saw online over the years, we had an epiphany: why were people stuck choosing from pre-made baskets that didn’t quite fit? Why couldn’t they pick exactly what they wanted to send? So we brainstormed and thought outside the "basket".
Our idea was simple but powerful: create a website that allows customers design their own gift baskets. No limitations. No filler items. Just the freedom to choose gourmet foods, wine, snacks, healthy options, and specialty items that truly match the person receiving them.
What started as a husband and wife building baskets on a ping pong table in our game room quickly grew into something much bigger. Fueled by creativity, hard work, and an obsession for quality, Design It Yourself Gift Baskets has grown into the number one custom gift basket company online.
