Codebase DevelopmentNick Hendler (Kryptronic, Inc.) has been the chief software developer for ClickCartPro since it's inital version 1.0, which was coded in June 1999. Since then, the program has undergone extensive changes, which have resulted in the current version available today. The codebase, which includes the library, modules and data architecture, are developed by soley by Kryptronic, Inc. and is distributed under license. ClickCartPro is not an open source (GNU licensed) program, however the source code is delivered with the program and is editable. ClickCartPro Is Available At: http://www.clickcartpro.com/ Perl Module Development Several GNU licensed Perl modules are distributed freely with this software and are not sold as part of the package. The module authors are not affiliated with Kryptronic, Inc., however their software is used by the codebase. These Perl modules make much of what ClickCartPro does possible, and credit is due to their authors: Lincoln Stein (CGI) - The CGI module enables the software to read form data and process file uploads. Eric Estabrooks (Crypt::HCE_MD5) - The Crypt::HCE_MD5 is the encryption engine used by the software to store passwords and other sensitive data securely. Jeff Zucker (DBD::AnyData & SQL::Statement) - The DBD::AnyData module allows access to CSV files via the standard DBI interface for the software. SQL::Statement is an SQL parsing engine that allows DBD::AnyData to query CSV files using the same SQL that relational databases use. Tim Bunce (DBI) - The DBI module provides a database independent interface to relational databases used by the software. Using DBI enables the software to access data in relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server in the same manner. Gisle Aas (Digest::MD5, HTML, HTTP, LWP, MIME, Net & URI) - The Digest::MD5 module is used to create MD5 hashes for security purposes, which is required by a several payment processors. The other modules listed provide such things as MIME encoding and transparent http/https connections. Milivoj Ivkovic (Mail::Sendmail) - The Mail::Sendmail module allows the software to connect to SMTP servers when a command line mail program like sendmail is not available (usually on Windows servers). It also allows the program to send HTML formatted email. Perl Modules Are Available At: http://cpan.perl.com/ DHTML Menu Development HierMenu DHTML Menu Code is distributed freely with this software and are is sold as part of the package. The module author is not affiliated with Kryptronic, Inc., however his software is used by the codebase. The version of HierMenu DHTML distributed with this program is under the GNU license. Peter Belesis (HierMenu DHTML Menu Code) - The HierMenu DHTML Menu Code is used in the administrator utility to aid in navigation. It creates pop-up menus on HTML pages. HierMenu DHTML Is Available At: http://www.dhtmlab.com/ Beta Test Team Much credit is due to the beta test team for the time spent ensuring that ClickCartPro software is both feature rich and fully tested before it is released to the user community. These testers donate their time to both assist the community and have a hands on experience as the software is created. Their efforts are appreciated and through their insight and diligence, a superior product is possible.
